2 Font Licenses to choose
The Commercial License allows you to use our fonts for any profit-generating project, including branding, packaging, publications, media, and client work. It covers unlimited devices within your organization, supports web and app use, and can be used by your team or subcontractors on behalf of your company. Pricing is based on company size, and the license remains valid as your organization grows.
The Non-Commercial License is for personal, student, or internal use only. It allows unlimited installations within your organization but does not cover web or mobile app use. You can use the fonts for previews, pitching, personal projects, or self-initiated designs, but any commercial use requires upgrading to a Commercial License. This license is priced at a fixed rate.

I am a FIRST-TIME font buyer.
Am I purchasing the rights to own fonts, or the rights to use fonts?▶
You are purchasing the rights to use our fonts. Ownership and copyright of the font belong to Thecoa. Details on user's use rights and responsibilities are stated in the End User License Agreement. By downloading and installing the font, you agree and are held responsible to comply to all terms of the license.
Why should I pay for font use?▶
You receive quality craftsmanship corresponding to how much you spend. By making best use of the fitful font for your creative project, you can improve the quality and effectiveness of your designs for you or your clients.
Am I allowed to lend, give away, reverse-engineer, reformat or create derivative works for fonts I purchased use rights from Thecoa?▶
No. All of the above actions are against the agreement that you and Thecoa make in the license and infringe the Thecoa's copyrights of the fonts.
Can I buy a license for an organization of more 200+ staffs?▶
Yes - please contact us to discuss a more bespoke licensing arrangement for your organization.
I am a DESIGNER and want to purchase font for MYSELF.
Which license is right for me?▶
You should purchase a Non-Commercial use license. When you work for a client, you need to ask them to purchase a Commercial license to get the right to exploit the fonts for commercial purpose.
Do I need to purchase a Commercial license to propose design solutions to a client?▶
You only need to purchase a Non-Commercial license in this case.
With a Non-Commercial license, can I post my personal work using purchased fonts on social media?▶
You're allowed to do so and more than welcome to credit Thecoa, provided that your works do not generate profit.
I am a REPRESENTATIVE from a DESIGN STUDIO/AGENCY and want to purchase fonts for my agency, studio (or a firm that provides design solution using fonts).
Once my company buys a Non-Commercial license, can all employees use the font?▶
Any employee working for your company will be allowed to use the font solely for the purpose of proposing design solutions to clients. They cannot use the font for personal use and must delete the font file in their device if they no longer work for your company. You must take reasonable efforts to ensure that employees understand, agree to, and comply with the terms of the License before installing fonts.
Once buying a Non-Commercial license, can I use it for social media?▶
No. As an organization, any public-facing usage of fonts, including social media designs, is considered commercial use.
I am a DESIGNER from a DESIGN STUDIO/AGENCY and want to purchase fonts for my agency, studio (or a firm that provides design solution using fonts).
In this case, who is the Licensee?▶
The firm you work for is the Licensee. You just make purchase on their behalf. This means that the license is the property of the firm and does not belong to you. In case your studio/agency wishes to use the font on its own, you need to purchase a separate License.
Can I use fonts purchased under my own Non-Commercial license to propose design solutions to my agency / studio's clients?▶
No. You cannot use fonts not on your behalf. In this case, the agency / studio needs to own a separate Non-Commercial license to use fonts on behalf of the agency / studio itself.

Which license should I purchase?▶
A client-side company needs to purchase a Commercial license for commercial use.
Am I allowed to let third parties (printers, agency, studio, web developers, etc) use fonts on my behalf?▶
You are allowed to do so following these conditions. You must make sure they only use fonts on your behalf, for the collaborative work between you and them; agree and comply to all terms of the License. Once the project ends, they must completely delete all file fonts on any devices. For long-term projects (exceeding 3 months), the number of devices using the fonts in your companies and those of third parties (sub-contractors) must not exceed the license limitations.
Are my employees allowed to use fonts?▶
They are allowed to use fonts on your behalf and for company's project. They can not use fonts outside work and for personal use. Before installing the fonts, they must understand, agree and comply to all terms in the License. Once they no longer work for your company, they must completely delete font files on their devices and you must take measures to ensure they do so.

The company you work for is the Licensee. You just make purchase on their behalf. This means that the license is the property of the company and does not belong to you. In case you wish to use the font for your own use, you need to purchase a Non-Commercial License for yourself.
Can I use fonts purchased under my own Non-Commercial or Commercial license in my company's projects?▶
No. You cannot use fonts not on your behalf. In this case, your company needs to own a separate license to use fonts on the company.
Can I buy a font license on behalf of my client?▶
Yes, if they’re okay with it. During the checkout process you can specify the licensee separately.

Do you offer discount for Vietnamese users?▶
Yes. We offer 60% discount for Vietnam-based users and businesses operating in Vietnam. This is to serve the goal of providing quality, pocket-friendly fonts to Vietnamese users. The discount is automatically applied based on your detected device location.
Do you offer student discounts?▶
You can use our Non-Commercial license for student work - which is roughly equivalent to a 75% discount. If you’re working for a commercial client, remember that only the client needs to buy a license.
Do you offer discounts for charities/nonprofits?▶
Yes, we can generally offer discounted commercial licensing for charities, nonprofits, NGOs and educational institutions. Please contact us via thecoa.foundry@gmail.com or facebook or instagram for further support.
Can you modify one of your typefaces for me?▶
Yes, absolutely. We can add extra characters, or create a custom version of a typeface for your organization - just let us know what you need.
